We have been customers of Mainely Ticks since 2008. In 2006, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease which had attacked my heart. Almost 2 years later, I was still unknowingly effected by Lyme. We had heard of Mainely Ticks and wanted to protect our children from Lyme as we were consistently finding them on us. When Bob first stopped by the house, we had a long conversation about Lyme and he educated me on chronic Lyme. The symptoms that I had, from extreme pain to cognitive and memory issues to fatigue, I had never heard of chronic Lyme. When I was diagnosed in the hospital with Lyme after having a defibrillator implanted into my heart to help me survive, I was told by the CDC that the antibiotics I received were enough. They were not. Bob did not give me medical advice but he encouraged me to educate myself on chronic Lyme disease, which I did. I have said repeatedly, Bob saved my life and he will forever have a customer. I cannot imagine how life would be if he hadn’t taken the time to talk to me that day, to educate and to listen as I told him how for 2 years I had not been feeling well and his honest concern for my well being. Shortly after the initial tick spray from Mainely Ticks, I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme and still suffer daily from its symptoms. However, knowing what it is now and being able to manage my symptoms, that’s a gift. I spent 2 years not knowing. We do not have an issue with ticks getting on our lawn, our dog or us! Now both of my neighbors are now customers too and I feel like our house has added protection. Lyme disease has changed my life, it’s a struggle every day, and one way that we protect our family from getting it is by using Mainely Ticks every year.
